Living the life

Living tiny has allowed me time to enjoy the moments in life.

I recently enjoyed:

Going to a concert at the SB Bowl which is a small outdoor venue. The picture below was when we first arrived. There was wonderful music and a beautiful sunset over the ocean.

Lots of long walks on the ranch. Here are some of my favorite cows. Yes, the female cows have horns to fight off the coyotes and mountain lions that threaten their babies.

Tilly had her first trip to the dog beach. Unfortunately, no one told her that it was fun to run on the beach. She was terrified. Poor little Tilly, she needed a nap after such a stressful day.

I also had dinner at the Cold Spring Tavern which is an historic stagecoach stop from 1865. It was featured on "Ghost Hunters" a few years ago.

I live in such a beautiful place. Living tiny may not be for everyone but for me it's perfect! Well, almost. As in any other wood structure there is maintenance. I will share that list soon.

    1. It's nice to have feedback! I wasn't sure anyone was out there. :) Tell me what you would like to hear about.

  2. Hi, Nancy! I've been watching the tiny house movement on Houzz, but didn't know anyone here in Santa Barbara was doing it! Your house looks a lot like one I saw on that website. My husband and I moved to Lompoc for the last 3 years to save money, but commuting is starting to wear us out and we are looking into finding a way to get back to Santa Barbara. How did you do it?
Also, I'd love to see some interior photos of your place!

  3. Hello Nancy!
I saw a tiny house a lot like yours on the Houzz website. I have been following the tiny house movement there but didn't know anyone in Santa Barbara was living it. Kudos on all the hard choices you made to make it work. We moved to Lompoc 3 years ago to save money but the commute is breaking us. How did you go about getting your tiny house?

    1. Hi Krista,
If you go farther back on the site you will be able to see interior photos or you can just come out for a visit. Lompoc is not too far. Send me your email and I will call you with directions. I would love to talk tiny with you.
